Job Title: Junior Manager in Sales and Trading
Location: Cape Town Waterfront Offices, Western Cape
Purpose of the job:
Our client is seeking a Junior Manager: Sales and trading to join their team. To develop and implement sales strategies for the marine bunkering division, manage customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure compliance with legal and operational requirements. This role aims to drive revenue growth while overseeing the sales process and supporting overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the sales strategy for our division.
- Build and maintain relationships with local and international customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to sales agreements and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations and logistics.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Technical field (e.g., B.Com, B.Sc. Chem. Eng.). Sales/marketing qualification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a relevant sales role within marine bunkering. Experience in international bunker trading and understanding pricing fundamentals is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint, strong communication abilities, strategic thinking, and excellent administration skills. Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings across South Africa.
