About the Company:
Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing industry, specializing in steel products. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards in their operations. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their factory operations and lead a team of 70 factory staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Factory Management: Oversee the daily operations of the factory, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Staff Leadership: Manage a team of 70 factory staff, including skilled workers and unionized employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Production Oversight: Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met and that resources are used efficiently.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, while maintaining product quality.
- Union Relations: Manage relationships with the union representatives, addressing any issues or concerns in a constructive manner.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production performance, staff management, and operational issues for senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations management role within the manufacturing industry, with specific experience in light steel manufacturing.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a large team, including experience working with unionized staff.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in light steel production.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
