The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in a production management role, specifically within the FMCG sector.
Proficiency in Isizulu is mandatory, as is experience managing large teams and working with machine-related operations.
Experience in a food production environment is highly desirable.
 
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production management role within the FMCG industry.
    • Tertiary qualifications in production management, engineering
    • Proficiency in Isizulu is mandatory.
    • HACCP / FSSC / ISO 22000
    • Demonstrated experience in managing a team of 100+ staff.
    • Experience working with machine-related operations is essential.  
    • Previous experience in a food production environment is highly preferable
    • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health & safety standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.  
    • Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail
 
Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversee and manage daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of over 100 staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Develop and implement production schedules and processes to meet company objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., quality control, maintenance, logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to production machinery and equipment.
    • Manage budgets and optimize costs without compromising on quality.  
    • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance to senior management
