Project Manager – Durban
The Project Manager role is expected to implement project governance and manage projects to successful conclusion in the company.
In addition to managing key projects the role will Implement and rollout a standardised company project methodology and toolkit (including form templates, sign-off stage-gates, and integration with company’s change control process).
Project Manage institutions projects
- Oversight and mentorship to teams on projects and initiatives
- Preparation and presentation of projects across the Institute.
- Project prioritisation in conjunction with business activities
- Deployment of a standardised Company Project Toolkit:
- Standardise methodology
- Standard project templates / documentation
- Training of key individuals to utilise standardised toolkit
- Evolution of toolkit
- Creation of project documentation, including:
- Project Brief
- Project Charter / Business Case
- Project Gantt Timeline
- Project Blueprint (if required)
- Change Analysis
- Risk Analysis
- Training Material
- Weekly project status updates, Technology and Change, tracking progress against plan (Time), spend against budget (Cost) and Solution quality against requirements (Quality)
- Management of project resources to drive projects to successful conclusion
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory for standards and processes.
- Creation and documentation of the Company Project Methodology
- Creation of project documentation templates for use by all managers
- Evaluation of compliance against project methodology and project templates business wide
Requirements
- Experience in Project Management roles
- Experience deploying both IT projects and programs, ideally in education sectors
- Excellent communicator to all levels of an organization
- Well disciplined, structured thinker, with exceptional work ethic.
- Strong motivator of people, and self- disciplined to drive projects to a successful conclusion
