Shopify Developer and E-commerce Manager – Remote

Our client, a fast-growing, online fashion retailer in the UK, is looking for a dynamic, experienced Shopify Developer & E-commerce Manager to add their expertise to their passionate team.
Overview:
- The Shopify Developer and Ecommerce Manager will be at the forefront of bringing the company vision to life online improving User Experience, fine-tuning site performance, improving conversion rates, leading the integration of new e-commerce technologies
- Currently a lean, highly collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment, you will work closely with the Directors on a wide-ranging responsibility, including:
- Optimize and evolve the Shopify store
- Integrate cutting-edge tools and apps
- Manage the overall e-commerce strategy to drive sales and engagement,
- Ensure the online presence not only looks beautiful but performs flawlessly!

Technical Requirements
- 2-4 years Proven experience working with Shopify, including Shopify Liquid templating, custom theme development, and app integrations.
- 2-4 years of experience managing e-commerce platforms, preferably for a direct-to-consumer brand.
- Strong proficiency in front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js).
- Experience with Shopify API’s and Third-Party API’s (GraphQL and/or REST).
- Familiarity with back-end development, including API integrations and database management.
- Familiarity with source/version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Demonstrated ability to optimize e-commerce websites for performance, conversion, and user experience.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Klaviyo, Google Ads, and Facebook Pixel.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and how they apply to e-commerce.
- Analytical Skills: Experience with e-commerce analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or similar.
- Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to improve site performance and marketing effectiveness.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Strong understanding of user experience and design principles.
- Experience with A/B testing, usability testing, and implementing UX/UI improvements.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Track record of troubleshooting technical issues and implementing creative solutions.
- Project Management: Experience managing e-commerce projects end-to-end, from ideation to execution.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities Work Scope
- Shopify Front-end development and optimisation
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify websites and applications for performance, scalability and a seamless user experience
- Collaborate with the founders and marketing manager to define and implement innovative solutions for the e-commerce platform.
- Test and implement new design elements or features to enhance the shopping journey.
- Implement custom themes, apps, and integrations using Liquid and JavaScript, to enhance the e-commerce experience.
- Manage and integrate third-party tools (email marketing platforms, analytics, customer service tools, payment gateways, etc.).
- General e-commerce management including image/content management, SEO optimisation and working with drop-shipping partners
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance or functionality issues on Shopify stores.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.
- E-commerce Strategy and Management
- Drive e-commerce strategy to improve conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention.
- Collaborate with founders and marketing to ensure a cohesive brand experience across the site.
- Manage product listings, inventory, and seasonal updates to keep the site dynamic and engaging.
- Analytics and Performance Tracking
- Monitor and analyze key metrics (traffic, conversion rates, bounce rates) from various tools and provide actionable insights to improve conversion.
- Use A/B testing and analytics tools to improve site performance and user experience.
- Innovation and Growth
- Research and recommend new technologies or approaches to stay ahead in the competitive e-commerce landscape.
