A position has come up and is available from 1st August 2019. This company is based in Westville Durban.
It is for an Engineering Underwriter so the candidate must be knowledgeable in all aspects of Engineering namely Contracts All Risks and Contractors Public Liability, Machinery Breakdown, Plant All Risks, Professional Indemnity Liabilities, Contractors Guarantees, etc, as well as a basic knowledge of Marine Insurance
An added advantage is that the candidate is fluent in iZulu but this is not a criteria
The engineering candidate must have sound knowledge and must be able to quote / bind and administer the portfolio. It also entails communicating with clients both telephonically at renewal and face to face with walk-in clients. The role will also include obtaining fully completed and signed FAIS documents as well as a Record of Advice at new business stage and renewals.
- RE5 and 150 FAIS credits are essential
- Experience with the above is also essential
- Salary is negotiable
